Praia Health Secures U.S. Patent for Groundbreaking Single Sign-On Healthcare Technology

Praia Health is proud to announce that it has been awarded U.S. Patent No. 12,105,788 B2, titled "Single Sign-On Across Multiple Application Instances."

This patent recognizes Praia Health's innovative consumer experience orchestration platform, which allows patients to seamlessly access multiple health system partner platforms and health system electronic medical record (EMR) systems with a single set of login credentials.

In addition to enabling patients to manage their health information across various EMR systems and instances, this technology extends to a wide range of health system partners, such as labs and external service providers. This aspect of the patent is particularly critical, as it enables patients to interact with not just healthcare providers, but also ecosystem partner applications—using the same secure login function and removing unnecessary friction.

This eliminates the need to manage multiple accounts for digital health partner applications such as laboratories, bill pay apps, scheduling apps, digital therapy (PT/OT/MSK), specialist clinics, and many others as part of the consumer's health journey. Patients and providers benefit from streamlined, secure access to vital health services, increased collaboration and a frictionless consumer experience.

“We are pleased to be recognized by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for our innovations that empower patients and orchestrate their digital health experiences,” said Justin Dearborn, CEO of Praia Health. “Our single sign-on solution not only enhances user convenience across multiple EMRs, but it also plays a critical role in integrating health system partners, a major advantage for simplifying patient interactions and boosting interoperability within the healthcare ecosystem.”

The issuance of this patent reinforces Praia Health’s commitment to bridging gaps between healthcare technologies, ensuring seamless, secure and patient-centered access across providers and partners.
